High Efficiency, Longer Lasting Filters

DCS is engineered with powerful two-stage filtration consisting of a primary filter stage with high efficiency MERV 13 rated Ultra-Web® oval-shaped nanofiber cartridge filters and a second filter stage with either HEPA or ULPA filters. Ultra-Web filters are more efficient and last up to 2x longer than commodity filters, which also extends the life of the HEPA filter. As a result, Ultra-Web reduces operator exposure to potent compounds and lowers replacement filter costs.

Engineered with a patented process, Ultra-Web nanofiber filter media has received a pre-HEPA MERV 13 efficiency rating by two independent labs (LMS, Minneapolis, MN and Intertek ETL SEMKO, New York) and had the lowest operating pressure drop of competitive cartridge filters tested in full scale lab testing.

Ultra-Web cartridge filters are especially well-suited for pharmaceutical applications as they are engineered to capture even submicon (0.3 micron) particulate on the surface of the media, solving premature filter plugging and making contaminants easier to pulse off than depth-loading 80/20 blend or cellulose commodity media.

The higher the MERV rating on a filter, the cleaner the air. Air filtered by a MERV 9 rated filter can have 1.5 times as many 3-10 micron particles and 5 times as many 1-3 micron particles as air filtered by an Ultra-Web MERV 13 rated filter.
